We love supporting small businesses because they put in so much of their time, money, and resources into building their businesses up, and we get to support someone’s family directly rather than just support chains that have plenty of people buying from them.
It can be hard to build a small business from the ground up because it’s hard to get the word out, and they often have to build a consistent customer base in order to thrive.
It’s awesome that these local businesses create jobs for those who live locally and that we’re able to put our money back into our own community rather than spending it elsewhere.
We’ve chosen Legends Pub and Grill for this month’s “Love Local” shoutout.
Amazing Food
Legends Pub and Grill has been in Salt Lake City since 2009, and we’ve visited quite a few times!
We can’t speak for their drinks, but they have 20 beers on tap and a full bar.
Their food is amazing! We haven’t tried one thing we haven’t liked. They even have gluten free and vegetarian options. Check out their menu for more information!
The Sandy location does Mac Daddy Mondays where you can get $6 bowls of Mac and Cheese Entrées, and they are awesome! You can create your own Mac and Cheese by choosing all the toppings and mix-ins.
They also have $6 Taco Tuesday, Wingsday, Verde Thursday, and Pie-Day. Another absolute favorite food is the BBQ chicken pizza. It’s probably the best pizza some of us have ever had.
The service is great. Even when they are at their busiest, and may even be understaffed, they do their best to get the food out quickly!
Two Locations
The owners are also locals (Lisa and Dave). Their first location was in downtown SLC; however, they opened their location in Sandy recently. We love that they’ve worked hard enough to be able to open another location.
They host watch parties regularly for football games and even jazz sessions.
