Dr. Liz Hankins
Au.D., CCC-A
As a fellow Utahn, Dr. Liz Hankins attended Utah State University where her undergraduate studies focused on communicative disorders and deaf education. Shortly after, she received her doctorate in audiology in 2012. She has a broad scope of experience, including diagnostic testing for pediatric and adult populations, vestibular assessments, auditory-verbal therapy, and cochlear implants.
As the director of audiology at House of Hearing, she oversees diagnostic and hearing aid clinics in the ENT offices and supervises the resident and doctoral students that work in the clinic. The job is difficult, but she is extremely gratified by the results the team can deliver and is always supporting her fellow teammates wherever she can.
She loves the whole team at House of Hearing, but her favorite part of working is having a job that makes a great impact on people’s quality of life.
It’s not uncommon for her to work alongside patients who are apprehensive to talk about hearing technology. Watching them leave with a smile on their face as a result of her service makes her so happy and she loves seeing their personalities grow.
In her spare time, she loves going to the movies with her 3 young daughters as well as hiking and rollerblading.
