When you buy from a local business, you are helping someone in your community who owns that business. You also help the economy and well-being of the people around you. One of the businesses we love – and we love many – is Al’s Sporting Goods, and we’re highlighting them this month for multiple reasons.
Al’s Been in Utah Since the 1920s!
Al Larsen started Al’s in Logan as a small tackle and bicycle shop in 1921, and he gradually added more sporting goods to turn it into the large sporting service center it is today.
Al’s has been helping Cache Valley (and now Orem) residents purchase high-quality, name-brand products at lower prices so that people can enjoy going outdoors. They have a great variety of sporting goods so that you can have fun in the snow as well as at the lake.
Incredible Customer Service
They always have great deals going on, and I can never leave without buying something, even when I go just to window shop. The customer service there is also amazing.
We went there once just to ask a question about a paddleboard they sell that we had bought secondhand. Because it was a defective paddleboard, they exchanged it for us without a receipt or anything! It definitely made us more inclined to continue spending our time and money there (and we spend a lot there!).
Snap Up Their Deals!
I recommend always going to their tent events and any big sales they have going on. Even if it’s the wrong time of year for a lifejacket, buy it! You’ll need one in a few months.
Also, take advantage of their ski rentals and tuning during the winter season, as well as their bike shop during the summer.
Their warehouse is in North Logan, so if they don’t have it in the store, it won’t take that long to get it in stock.
