It’s much easier to build a community and get everyone involved when we all shop local.
It can be hard to build connections with those who live right down the street, but when you support local businesses, it can help you meet people who live in the community and build relationships with them.
The people who run a small business are usually experts on what they sell, as they have spent their lives building up their business and studying every piece of what it takes to build it up.
Similarly, local businesses often have the best services, items, or food because they spend their days perfecting what they offer.
We’ve chosen Salsa Leedos Mexican Grill for this month’s “Love Local” shoutout.
Amazing Community
We’ve been frequenting Salsa Leedos Mexican Grill for at least seven or eight years, and one of the things we love about it is the feeling of community there. The owner, Travis Bonino, has done an incredible job of putting himself out there and getting to know the locals.
He has worked hard to create a sense of community and connection there and to give back to the community – through sponsoring the DARE program and feeding 12,000+ children each year, to name a few ways.
Handy Riverton Location
Salsa Leedos has just one location in Riverton and has put its full focus on building this location into the best Mexican restaurant in the area rather than focusing on expansion.
We think this really shows how much they care about their customers.
Fun and Games
The Grill has such a fun environment!
They have cute little games outside during the summer you can play while waiting to be seated! They also have a fun environment indoors. Follow the Salsa Leedos Facebook page to follow the little scavenger hunts that they do!
They hide a gift certificate or a drink mug somewhere locally and ask their customers to go look for it! Whoever finds it first gets to keep it!
Good Food, Limited Time Food, and Specials
They also announce their specials and limited-time food items on their Facebook page. They always come up with new “limited time” foods to try, such as their mac and cheese tacos or quesadillas.
They don’t always have them around, as they seem to come and go, but if you get a chance, then try them!
They are so good!
They also have a sampler dish that allows you to try quite a few different items if you can’t decide what to try!
