Siemens Hearing Aids

Starting as a manufacturer of telegraphic instruments in 1847, Siemens changed its focus to helping improve the lives of people with hearing challenges by releasing an amplified telephone receiver in 1878.

By 1913, Siemens had made its first hearing aid available to the public, with the first BTE (behind-the-ear) instrument coming in 1959 and its first (ITE) in-the-ear hearing aid in 1966. In 2014, Siemens introduced the first hearing aid to outperform normal hearing, Binax, accelerating the development of smart products and applications with practical benefits for people with hearing loss.

In 2015, Siemens became Sivantos, producing a line of Signia hearing aids using Siemens’ technology. Its merger with Widex in 2019 gave birth to WS Audiology, a large-scale manufacturer of a variety of hearing instruments under various brand names.

Advanced Hearing Solutions From Siemens

The most important innovation of Siemens is the Binax platform. Independent studies conducted by the University of Northern Colorado and the Hearing Center of the University of Oldenburg involving Binax demonstrated that the hearing instrument outperformed normal hearing in a noisy environment.

The performance quality of Binax comes from its e2e wireless technology, which simulates binaural hearing using an eight-microphone network (four per hearing aid) that shares and balances audio data. Binax also comes with Narrow Directionality, Spatial Speech Focus, eWindScreen binaural, and High Definition Sound Resolution to enhance the clarity of your sound experience.
